Jerome is an old copper mining town that was built on a mountainside. It's packed with interesting things to paint: buildings, landscapes, streets, and barrels.
I painted this with the idea that the barrel is the focal point. As the eye moves away from the barrel, the details become more and more out of focus until those things in the background become little more than suggestions of their nature.
