The path is an old railway line that runs along the River Dee. It passes right in front of the house where my wife grew up. I liked the idea of the path representing a path of life. The subject is a single empty plaster vessel with a decorative lions head and roping. Here is my latest auction listing. This is an original oil painting, painted in 2010. This is in Oak Creek Canyon, just outside of Sedona, Arizona. I think trees, especially the older ones, have a lot of personality. They are like old gods. This tree reminded me of the Greek myth of Narcissus, leaning over to gaze at his reflection in the water.      SOLD [...]
